Very impressed with your language skills --for me it has not come easily. I applaud your passion and utilization of it and how it has enriched your life and the life of others on the Camino. I'm still hoping to at least improve my very limited Spanish.
Thanks, Brenda. But don't be fooled--it didn't come easily!
In order to learn Spanish, I spent 2 hours per day doing comprehensible input for nearly 2 years. Before that, I started with Pimsleur. I also used Spanish with Paul at one point (though that's also a good way to fall asleep). Once I discovered the concept of comprehensible input and Dreaming Spanish--that's the content that really kept me interested and motivated! No books. No grammar. Just interesting content at a level I could understand. . . and then found I could understand more and more.
