I love everything about this post. I think we are conditioned to focus on results from years in the workforce. I imagine there are so many moments to observe on the Camino that would be missed if we don’t slow and be present in the moment.
Thank you, Brian. I've met people who do a yearly Camino to be reminded of such things.
And yes -- so many moments can be missed if we proceed on the Camino as we do in our day-to-day lives. The trick is bringing it all back home post-Camino. Which is one of the reasons I write: to remind myself while hopefully helping someone else along their life journey.
For me as well. So often we focus on that end result and if we attained it or not. I love that Leo stresses that we recognize what we did or didn't do, don't beat ourselves up on the latter, and use the next day to simply begin again.
The way you capture "poco a poco" resonates with me about building habits that last. Small, consistent steps.

Having moved abroad myself for years ago, I agree!
I’ll take all your suggestions beyond poco a poco 😍

Excellent advice, just excellent, and for me, especially “Be present and enjoy the activity (don’t focus on results.)”
